CAMP DETAILS

Tell us about yourself, your interests and passions and the gifts you will bring to share. Tell us about what you need to make sure the space is accessible and welcoming for you.

As applications come in, offerings that may be available at camp will make their way onto this site.

Camp @ CREATE. is a summer camp experience for individuals and families of all sorts. It's built up around ideas of democratic community engagement, low-tech/low-impact solutions, co-creation, and inclusion.

Programming offered at camp will largely depend on the skills, knowledge and gift offerings of the people who come this summer. Some things that may be possible include:

  • greenhouses for year round food

  • keeping + processing small livestock

  • water systems

  • composting toilet systems

  • wild plant medicines

  • forest maintenance

  • mushrooms

  • using bioremediation

  • harvesting and processing fruits and vegetables

  • overcoming/harnessing power tool fear

  • working in community

  • and the special offerings you may bring or request...

Decisions about the ways we share space are discussed and agreed through a meeting process where every person, regardless of age, gender, orientation, ability or background have opportunities for valued input.

Kids and youth are welcome to particpate through integrated activities or to participate in a parallel play structure, where E.C.E.s and supports will facilitate a child centered version of activities.

The majority of camp will be scheduled into blocks of Open Space time. During this time opportunities for knowledge and skill exchange can happen in a wide variety of ways.
